Dr. Lewis investigates variability in marine and estuarine food webs for various stakeholders so that these ecosystems may be conserved in perpetuity. Specifically, her work explores the impacts of disturbances (such as habitat loss, oil spills, and climate change) on fish communities using various ecological, statistical, and geospatial modeling techniques. Current projects include the development of spatially-explicit and time-dynamic food web models for the State of Louisiana.
